The faith community has played a central role in prior social justice efforts. In fact, many say that the civil rights movement was born and nurtured in church basements where it was safe to organize.
On this episode, Dr. McGencey interviewed the Rev. Thomas Bowen, the Earl L. Harrison Minister of Social Justice has faithfully served the Shiloh congregation as a member of its ministerial team since July 2002.
Rev. Bowen brought interesting perspective to the topic and gave practical examples of how faith-based organizations can lead social justice movements in spirit and in truth.
